Food Safety Awareness Day 2026: From Challenges to Solution, Safe Packaging For Safe Food

PET Far Eastern (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. (PFEM) held Food Safety Awareness Day sessions on 7 and 14 September 2026, achieving an overall employee participation rate of 90%. The event reinforced our commitment to safe food packaging and a strong food safety and quality culture.

Under the theme “From Challenges to Solutions – Safe Packaging for Safe Food,” the sessions highlighted the importance of food safety in our daily operations. As a PET preform and bottle manufacturer, we recognise the role packaging plays in protecting food and beverages. Every employee helps maintain the safety, quality, and integrity of our products.

The programme focused on strengthening awareness of contamination prevention, workplace hygiene and compliance with established procedures. Employees were encouraged to remain alert to potential risks, report concerns promptly and work together to resolve issues before they affect product safety.

The event reinforced that food safety is a shared responsibility across all departments. By connecting everyday actions to their impact on packaging safety, PFEM aims to build a culture where employees understand their responsibilities and actively contribute to continuous improvement.

Through ongoing awareness and employee involvement, PFEM continues to strengthen its food safety practices and support the principles of FSSC 22000. Together, we strive to deliver safe, reliable packaging that earns our customers’ trust and helps protect consumers.
